PARKLAND, produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, written and directed by Peter Landesman, tells the true story of a tragic day in history that you thought you knew. 22 November 1963, the day that forever changed the world. Young American President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. The film follows a group of people who are forced to make quick decisions in the aftermath of this unimaginable event that changed their lives and the world forever: young doctors and nurses working at Parkland Hospital, their chief physician, the highly scrutinized Dallas Secret Service, the cameraman capturing the footage, the FBI agents who captured the armed man Lee Harvey Oswald, and Vice President Lyndon Johnson who suddenly had to take control of the entire country. These heroes, drawn into an unprecedented drama with unimaginable consequences, act with shock, anger, determination, and courage. Their seemingly different perspectives create one of the most powerful and compelling stories ever told.
