Manhattan lawyer Diane (Catherine Keener), her son Jake (Nat Wolf), and daughter Zoe (Elizabeth Olsen) are on a weekend trip to her mother Grace’s (Jane Fonda) farm. Diane hasn’t spoken to her mother in 20 years. Despite her advanced age, Grace, a hippie, embraces her daughter and grandchildren. The time spent in the rural area will be an unforgettable vacation for Diane and her children.
