Queen & Slim 2019
A black man and a black woman are on their first romantic date in Ohio. They are pulled over by the police for a traffic violation, which escalates into a heated argument and a struggle. In a desperate attempt to save himself, the man ends up killing the police officer. Shocked by the turn of events, the couple, a retail worker and a defense attorney, find themselves on the run from law enforcement. Their lives are forever changed as the incident is captured on video and goes viral, turning them into symbols of trauma, terror, and injustice.
