Becky and Howie Corbett, who have a happy marriage, see their lives turned upside down when their son Danny dies in a car accident. As they try to cope with this intense grief, they also find themselves at a crossroads in their relationship. Becca’s way of dealing with the grieving process is very different from Howie’s, as she befriends Jason, the young man responsible for their son’s death, in an attempt to understand his world. As they are pushed towards different choices by their pain, a dangerous and unexpected self-discovery awaits the Corbett couple.
