Carla, a young woman in her thirties working at a real estate office, is shy and deaf from birth. Despite her disability, Carla is able to do her job and yearns for love. She has a talent for lip reading and can understand everything people say. Carla falls in love with Paul, a small-time thief, and convinces him to rob the company she works for. After successful initial attempts, the duo use Carla’s talent to plan a bigger heist.
