Red State 2011
Three young high school students from Central America receive an online invitation for group sex. Little do they know, this seemingly harmless invitation will lead them into unexpected trouble. They are kidnapped by a ruthless, conservative, and religious group and subjected to various tortures. Led by the radical preacher Ebin Cooper, this religious sect punishes lifestyles they do not approve of in a ritualistic manner, culminating in the public murder of the young students. As the police’s special forces attempt to rescue the kidnapped youth from the building they are held captive in, the violence escalates. The film stars young actors Michael Angarano, Nicholas Brown, Ronnie Connell, Kaylee DeFer, and veteran actor Michael Parks.
