Claude, a theater critic living in Monterey, California, has been friends with his neighbor Shane for a long time. Shane, who is worried about his daughter and granddaughter after his son-in-law is caught making payments to prostitutes, is still grieving the loss of his wife a few years ago. As the scandal shakes his family to the core, Claude decides to return to his old job and offer some ideas. However, when he arrives at work, he learns that his former love has Alzheimer’s. Despite having been separated for years and married to others, Claude is still in love with her and seeks Shane’s help in dealing with the situation.
