Isabella El-Ibrahim, an Egyptian chemical engineer, is married to Anwar Al-Ibrahim and they have a child together. When Anwar is arrested while boarding a plane from South Africa to Washington, Isabella becomes desperate to find him. Anwar is illegally detained and hidden in an unknown basement. CIA analyst Douglas takes on the initial investigation. As Anwar’s interrogation continues with torture, Isabella searches for the perpetrators. As the violence escalates, Douglas must choose between his duty and his conscience.
