In 1978, a group of activists decide to make one last attempt to celebrate their identities after efforts to suppress homosexuality come to an end. Led by former union boss Lance Gowland, they obtain the necessary permits from the police. On a freezing winter night, they hit the streets in fancy dresses, unaware that angry police officers are waiting for them. Based on a true story, Riot – Rebellion is directed by Jeffrey Walker and has won 6 awards.
