Sadie is a journalist who stumbles upon a secret cult in modern Los Angeles, where young people are going missing and turning up dead. Determined to uncover the truth behind these brutal murders, Sadie finds herself in the hands of the man behind the killings. As she navigates the dark underworld, she realizes she is neither alive nor dead, and must feed on human blood to survive. Meanwhile, Detective Rawlins, who lost his daughter to the cult, seeks revenge and crosses paths with Sadie. They form an unlikely alliance to take down the cult and its leader to prevent more innocent lives from being lost.
