Romeo + Juliet 1996
In this modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s tragic love story Romeo and Juliet, directed by Australian genius Baz Luhrmann, swords are replaced by guns. Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Juliet (Claire Danes) are the children of two feuding families in present-day Florida. Through a tragic twist of fate, the two young lovers fall for each other and try to escape from a family war.
