Room on the Broom 2012
Witch’s Broomstick tells the story of a kind-hearted witch who lives in harmony with nature along with her cat. While traveling with her cat, she meets new animals. A friendly dog, who finds and brings back her hat blown away by the wind, asks for a place on the broomstick. Despite the initial reluctance of the cat, the witch makes room for the dog on the broomstick. Later, a shy bird, shunned by other birds for being green, joins them, and a cleanliness-loving frog who refuses to be like the other frogs living in the swamp takes its place on the broomstick. The kind-hearted witch, who makes room for these very different animals on her broomstick, tries to escape from a chasing red dragon, telling them not to be selfish, to share the beauty and feeling of compassion. The book has been adapted into a very good film. Therefore, it was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Animated Short Film category in 2012. It is especially beneficial for children over the age of 3. It is a beautiful film about how discrimination and selfishness are bad; the beauty of kindness, generosity, and solidarity.
