Rounders 1998
Film starts in the underground poker world of New York. Mike McDermott (Matt Damon) starts a new life as a master poker player. He is studying law. Mike says that this new bet is a legitimate way to success, but he misses the thrill of the game at the tables. His best friend Worm (Edward Norton) calls him as soon as he gets out of prison to reunite their old poker team. One of the reasons for this is the huge gambling debt he had before going to jail. Mike can’t resist and teams up with Worm. The loan shark (John Malkovich) and other players keep an eye on Mike and Worm. Meanwhile, his girlfriend struggles to get Mike back on track, while Mike falls for the charm of a new flame (Famke Janssen). Will Mike be able to get out of this whirlwind and return to his old life?
