Sand Castle 2017
Chris Roessner’s film depicts his memories of serving in Iraq. The main character, Matt Ocre, is tasked with repairing a waterway in Bakuba. While American soldiers are welcomed in Baghdad, the local population in Bakuba is hostile towards them. Matt must prove that he is not a problem, but a solution, as he works to repair the waterway in the midst of tension and conflict.
