Storyline

Qi jian 2005

In the 1600s, the Manchus conquered China and established the Qing Dynasty. Amid ongoing nationalist uprisings in the martial arts community, the new government bans martial arts to maintain control. Wind Fire, a former military officer, sees this as an opportunity to profit and helps enforce the new law. He wreaks havoc in Northwest China and sets his sights on attacking the last stronghold, Military Village. Retired executioner Fu Qingzhu feels compelled to end this brutality and sets out to save Bowei Castle. With the help of Wu Yuanyin and Han Zhiban, they seek assistance from Master Shadow-Glow at Heavenly Mountain. Master Shadow-Glow agrees to help and orders his top four students to go. Chu Zhaonan, Yang Yunchong, Mulong, and Xin Longzi form the SEVEN SWORDS and embark on a heroic journey. As they lead the entire village to safety, they encounter a mysterious betrayal. Food and water are poisoned, and their escape route is marked by signs directing the enemy towards them. They soon realize there is a spy among them, and the SEVEN SWORDS must identify them before the Wind Fire’s army reaches them. Amidst this life-and-death struggle, the situation becomes even more complicated with the blossoming of love.
