The film “Genetic Heritage – Skin” is based on a true life story. 10-year-old Sandra (Sophie Okonedo) living in South Africa appears to be a typical native. However, Sandra’s parents are white; but their genetic roots trace back to the black race. Sandra is sent to a boarding school where her white brother studies. However, she is expelled from school for being black. Sandra’s father Abraham opposes this decision and takes the case to court. This incident turns into an international scandal. In the following years, Sandra will struggle against racism.
