During the Great Northern War in 1709, King Louis XIV of France sends two duelists away – one to the King of Sweden, Charles XII, and the other to the Russian Tsar Peter. Along their journey, both Frenchmen face various trials. They end up fighting on opposite sides in the Great Battle of Poltava. Will these two friends whose paths have diverged so much be able to reunite?
