The Sound of My Voice is a psychological science fiction film that tells the story of a young woman who claims to have come from the future. The film’s lead actress Brit Marling, the director is Zal Batmangliy. Maggie is a mysterious character living in Los Angeles. Claiming to have traveled through time, Maggie says she has come to prepare people for the future 30 years later. Like any charismatic cult leader, she has followers who believe in her warnings of a future filled with war, scarcity, and poverty. However, Peter and Lorna infiltrate the group to expose Maggie as a fraud and things don’t go as planned. Despite not trusting Maggie, Peter is intrigued.
