Writer Karen Eiffel is about to finish her best book yet after ten years of meticulous work. The only problem she faces is how to kill off her protagonist Harold Creek. Unbeknownst to the writer, Harold actually exists and is living out the events she is writing. Shocked, Harold realizes that the writer must hear his thoughts and change the ending of the novel (and his own).
