Set in Poland in 1943, this film follows the interconnected stories of four individuals caught up in unexpected events. Romek, a resident of the village where war is raging, Guido, a soldier in the village during the invasion, Franka, the daughter of a wealthy farmer, and Bunia, a Jewish man who escapes from a death train. Each of them will seek a way to escape from the most brutal reality, that of love. Confronting the uncertainty of the future and the fear they are experiencing, will they be able to hold on tightly to their dreams?
