After a 16-year hiatus, Super Troopers 2 returned to the big screen, once again directed by Jay Chandrasekhar. Despite landing in the middle of the box office rankings in its debut year, the film was seen as an enjoyable production by many. It tells the story of four officers serving as police on the border between Canada and America, and the unconventional ways they navigate through their adventures.
