The story of Manou, a swallow adopted by seagulls, is told in the film. Manou is raised by a couple of seagulls in Nice, despite being a swallow. Despite being contrary to his nature, Manou learns how to catch fish and fly like his family. However, when it comes to flying, Manou realizes that he can never be like his family. After being ostracized by the other seagulls, Manou distances himself from the seagull flock and begins to discover his true self by meeting birds of his own kind.
