Action takes place in Montreal. Claire Manas invites unemployed fashion designer Sophie Malater to her workplace to show her work to her boss. When Sophie arrives at the company, Claire apologizes and tells her that her boss is on vacation and will be back in two months. Claire invites Sophie to dinner and tells her about switch.com, a website for strangers who exchange their homes for vacations. Sophie finds an apartment owned by Benedict Certeau not far from the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Sophie and Benedict exchange homes. Sophie lands in Paris on a Saturday morning and has a wonderful day biking in the tourist area. However, the next morning something unexpected happens and the police raid the house, arresting Sophie who was taking a shower at the time. Detective Damien Forgeau, who believes Sophie is Benedict, interrogates her. After the interrogation, Sophie learns that a decapitated body was found in her room. Realizing that all her information has been erased and all doors are closed, Sophie cannot prove the truth.
