Despite the high production cost, the film grossed an impressive 549 million dollars at the Box Office, making it a huge success. When John was just 8 years old, he made a wish on a Christmas night for his beloved teddy bear to come to life and be his friend. The next morning, he wakes up to find his teddy bear, named Ted, alive and talking. Ted becomes his closest companion, and they spend a lot of time together. However, John never anticipated that he would grow up. As he reaches the age of 30, he has spent almost half of his life with Ted, sharing the same home. Ted has become accustomed to living with humans and has adopted their lifestyle. The biggest issue in Ted’s mind is not wanting to share John with anyone else. When John’s girlfriend Lori enters the picture, Ted becomes jealous and causes a rift in their relationship. From there, things spiral out of control.
