Sally, who takes the train to work every day, gets into a heated argument with a man named Carl who she sits next to, and their short journeys start to take on a strange turn. Carl is a middle-aged man in a happy marriage, and Sally is engaged. Despite initially denying their growing feelings for each other, they eventually realize they can’t resist falling in love. Sally then discovers she is pregnant and soon they will have to move to Australia to start a new life with her fiancé.
