The Abyss 1989
During the Cold War, an American nuclear submarine is attacked by an unknown enemy and sinks to the bottom of the sea. The US Navy enlists the help of employees from a nearby gas station to investigate the cause of the incident, and sends a special team and a high-tech research submarine to support them. The team concludes that the cause of the “accident” may be an alien attack, but to further their research, they must enter a deep underwater canyon called the “Abyss”…
