The Angels’ Share 2012
After his girlfriend Leonie gives birth, Robbie holds Luke’s son in his arms and promises not to share the same fate. Having miraculously escaped from prison, he is now forced to work in community service. While on duty, he meets Reno, Albert, and Moe; all struggling to find decent jobs due to their criminal records. The next plan comes quickly: to rob a whisky distillery that could provide them comfort for the rest of their lives! Directed by Ken Loach, this bittersweet comedy follows a group of outcast friends. The film starts with Robbie’s character, portrayed with commendable humor by Loach’s camera. Starring Paul Brannigan, John Henshaw, and Gary Maitland.
