The Art of Getting By 2011
Film, George is a young man obsessed with death. He befriends Sally, a talented artist and fatalistic girl in his class. This preoccupation with death impacts his schoolwork. One day, George sees Sally pretending to smoke on the school terrace to defy the teachers’ warnings. He saves her from trouble and they become friends. George starts hanging out with Sally’s friends, despite being socially awkward. The film explores how George and Sally’s relationship unfolds.
