The Awakening 2011
Nick Murphy is the director and writer of Awakening. The film stars Golden Globe nominees Rebecca Hall and Dominic West, as well as Oscar nominees Imelda Staunton and Lucy Kohu. Set in 1921 England, the film revolves around the pain and loss of World War I. Florence goes to a village school to investigate a complaint about a ghost in Florence. It is said that the ghost was seen at a young age in school. As always, Florence’s belief in uncovering the truth behind such superstitions will be shaken in unexpected ways. Invisible beings will also not leave her alone.
