The Babadook 2014
Amelia, a woman who lost her husband 6 years ago and has not been able to get over her grief, is raising her son alone, taking on both maternal and paternal roles. One day, while going through her son’s books, she finds a strange book called Mister Babadook. Samuel claims to have seen Babadook in his dreams that night, and mysterious events begin to occur from that moment on. Amelia constantly tries to get rid of the book, even destroys it, but it somehow keeps coming back. As days go by, her son’s nightmares intensify, and the woman is at a loss for what to do. Helpless, the disturbing events shake the woman, leading her and her son to go through tough times.
