The Big White 2005
Alaska, deer and travel agency host Paul Barnell. Paul is deeply in debt and his talkative wife Margaret has Tourette’s syndrome. Paul sees his missing brother Raymond as the solution to his problems. He tries to claim his missing brother’s $1 million insurance policy to pay off his debts and get the medical care his wife needs. He meets Ted Watters, a tough young insurance company investigator. Ted does not take kindly to Paul’s request; as only five years have passed since Raymond disappeared, it is not enough time to declare him dead. Paul tries to do his best until he accidentally encounters a corpse in the dumpster behind his office. A momentary shock gives way to a crazy idea. If he can make this body resemble his brother, he can claim the insurance money and solve his problems. Meanwhile, Ted is desperate to leave Alaska and move to a warm, sunny place with his girlfriend Tiffany if he gets a promotion. Paul immediately starts his detailed game of throwing the fake body of his brother into the carnivorous wilderness of Alaska. Everything seems to be going according to plan, but there are unforeseen things. When the body is dismembered, an insurance claim will soon land on Ted’s desk. Remembering Paul’s previous request, Ted suspects foul play. And if he can uncover it, he can get the promotion he wants and leave this town. Now Ted is scrutinizing the case very closely. Unfortunately, threats and dangers manifest themselves in different ways. Now, the real killers Gary and Jimbo are at Paul’s door looking for the missing body. They desperately search for the body because it is proof that they have successfully completed their job. Clues lead them to Paul. They strike a deal with Paul for part of the money and hold Margaret hostage until Paul gets the money.
