The Country Girl 1954
Washed-up singer/actor Frank Elgin believes he has a chance to return to his glory days when theater director Bernie Dodd offers him the lead role in a new musical. However, Frank, who has turned to alcohol after the death of his children, is a man who has lost confidence in himself. Bernie, on the other hand, thinks that Frank’s lack of self-assurance is because of his wife Georgie.
