A mysterious toxic substance mixes into the city’s water, turning the townspeople into psychotic killers. Authorities decide to quarantine the town when they realize what is happening. As the once idyllic town descends into chaos with the residents losing control and turning into killers, the American Dream comes to an end. With the army trying to contain the outbreak by blocking the town’s entrances and exits, those left inside are caught in the middle of a war between the healthy and the killers. Sheriff David Dutton and his pregnant wife Judy, along with former medical center assistant Becca and deputy Russell, no longer recognize their once peaceful town. Unable to trust their neighbors and friends, abandoned by the authorities, and trying to protect themselves from the outbreak, the four must join forces to escape their nightmare.
