Severe headaches lead Little Ted to undergo surgery after an X-ray reveals something strange in his skull. During the operation, surgeons are shocked to find an eye staring back at them, realizing that Ted had absorbed his weaker twin in the womb. Meanwhile, a mysterious thunderstorm causes chaos at the hospital. Twenty years later, Thad Beaumont moves to a quiet town with his family to start a new life as a teacher. Unbeknownst to everyone, Thad is also the successful author of violent novels under the pseudonym George Stark. When a stranger threatens to expose his secret, Thad decides to “retire” Stark by staging a fake funeral with the help of his wife. The headstone reads: “He wasn’t a very nice guy.”
