Ruby Daly never imagined she would survive the terrible plague that killed 98% of America’s children, but she did. Those who survived the epidemic developed superpowers that could only be distinguished by their colors. Ruby is an orange, which is considered dangerous. She is sent to a camp where children like her are taken. Feeling helpless, Ruby wonders what will happen to kids like her. With the help of some fellow children, Ruby realizes the truth about the camp and manages to escape, changing her life forever. “The Darkest Minds” is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and is based on the novel of the same name by Alexandra Bracken. The film stars Bradley Whitford, Mandy Moore, and Amandla Stenberg.
