The Dead Zone 1983
University professor Johnny Smith (Christopher Walken) has been in a coma for five years after a horrific car accident. When he wakes up, he realizes that he now has the ability to see the future. Using this gift, Johnny becomes a local hero, preventing many disasters in his area. However, he has lost his job and fiancée in the five years he was unconscious, believing that his only purpose now is his new ability and the responsibilities that come with it. Eventually, Smith meets a local politician who is running for President of the United States, Greg Stillson (Martin Sheen). Horrified by the vision that Stillson will bring about the end of the world in the future, Johnny decides that the man must be stopped.
