The English Teacher 2013
Linda Sinclair (Julianne Moore) is a 40-year-old single woman who teaches English in the town of Kingston. When her former student Jason Sherwood (Michael Angarano) returns to Kingston after trying to become a screenwriter in New York, her simple life takes an unexpected turn. Linda decides to present a play written by Jason, who has given up on art after being pressured by his father (Greg Kinnear) to go to law school and study under drama teacher Carl Kapinas (Nathan Lane). Stepping out of her comfort zone, Linda begins to take more risks. As her reputation and career are put in jeopardy, Linda searches for a way out of the remnants of her former ideal life.
