The Exorcist 1973
Chris MacNeil lives with her 12-year-old daughter Regan in their home in Georgetown. Chris, who is separated from her husband, plans a party for Regan’s birthday. During Regan’s birthday party, Chris thinks her daughter may be suffering from an illness due to her erratic behavior. Regan is taken to many doctors and undergoes multiple treatments, but none of the doctors can make a definitive diagnosis or treat her. As Regan’s demonic behavior escalates, the doctors, unable to treat her, advise Chris to find a priest who can perform an exorcism. Despite not being religious, Chris becomes increasingly fearful after her friend Burke Dennings is found dead with his neck broken, leading her to seek help from Father Damien Karras.
