The Favourite 2018
In early 18th century England, the country is at war with the French. Queen Anne, a delicate monarch, seizes the throne and her close friend Lady Sarah rules the country while controlling Anne’s ailing health and gentle temper. When a new servant named Abigail arrives, her charm captivates Sarah. Sarah takes Abigail under her wing, and Abigail seizes the chance to reclaim her aristocratic roots.
