In the 1920s, struggling writer Nick Carraway decides to move to New York in hopes of finding success and wealth. Along the way, he crosses paths with Jay Gatsby and his gang, leading him to experience wild parties and excessive drinking. As Carraway begins to see the true face of the seemingly glamorous life, he realizes that his American dream may soon come crashing down.
