P.T. Barnum started his career selling snacks and cherry rum at the age of 12. He had a dream that no one else could reach, to create the greatest show on Earth. With the support of his wife, he began working on building the world’s first circus in 1841. Bringing together talented and ambitious young people from different places, he created a circus that attracted people from all over, including Queen Victoria of England. The circus’s European tours changed the world’s understanding of entertainment forever.
