The Haunted Mansion 2003
Real estate agent Jim Evers (Eddie Murphy) and his business partner wife Sarah (Marsha Thomason) receive a phone call in the middle of the night. Edward Gracie, the owner of a mansion looking to sell his property, contacts them. Intrigued by the promise of a big payday, Jim and Sarah decide to visit the mansion with their two children. During the Evers family’s visit to the old mansion, a mysterious storm hits. They are greeted by the eccentric owner Gracie and his enigmatic butler Ramsley, as well as visible and invisible residents. Initially skeptical of Gracie’s ghost stories, Jim begins to realize that the mansion is not as ordinary as it seems. Situated on the edge of a distant swamp, this mansion was built in New Orleans before the American Civil War.
