The Hindenburg 1975
The film is about the Hindenburg airship, with its massive silver body tethered to the ground by ropes before takeoff. The goal is America. It’s May 3, 1937. The Hindenburg slowly begins to rise from the ground, marked with LZ 129 – the 129th zeppelin ever built. It’s the largest airship ever made, measuring 250 meters long. The engines roar to life, illuminating the silver body until it fades into the twilight. Then everything goes dark. Airport workers retire to their rooms until the next flight. The Hindenburg heads for America, a symbol of modern technology and grandeur. But little do they know, a tragic accident that will mark the end of the golden age of airships is just two days away.
