The Hound of the Baskervilles 1959
The film is set in the late 19th century. Sir Henry Baskerville (Christopher Lee), the nephew of his late uncle Sir Charles Baskerville who was mysteriously killed by a savage beast, inherits a historic mansion in the rural Devonshire countryside of England. He believes that a curse has been placed on his family and seeks the help of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes (Peter Cushing) and his partner Dr. Watson (Andre Morell) to protect him from danger. As always, the clever detective will use his unique methods to solve the case and uncover the truth. The film closely follows the source material, with some minor differences from the original novel.
