Hypnotisören 2012
A ruthless killer murders an entire family in a heinous crime, leaving the youngest son as the sole survivor who is severely injured and in shock. Detectives call upon psychiatrist Eric Maria Bark in the hopes of using hypnosis to communicate with the child and start an interrogation to locate the killer before he reaches the missing sister. However, Eric had sworn off hypnosis after a previous incident ten years ago. As events take an unexpected turn, the situation will also impact Eric’s life. This gripping thriller, nominated for an Academy Award from Sweden, is directed by renowned filmmaker Lasse Hallström, marking his first film after “Salmon Fishing in Yemen.” The original novel the film is based on was also published in Turkish under the same title.
