The Ides of March 2011
In the film “Farragut North”, set in Ohio during a heated election campaign, presidential candidate Mike Morris (George Clooney) and his campaign spokesperson Stephen Myers (Ryan Gosling) are faced with a political scandal that puts their loyalty to the test. As Myers tries to navigate the crisis and stay true to Morris, he must make some tough decisions. Directed by Beau Willimon and adapted from a screenplay by Clooney and Grant Heslov, the film has received high praise from critics after premiering at festivals in Venedik, Toronto, ABD, Atina, and Rio de Janeiro. In addition to Clooney, the cast includes Ryan Gosling, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, and Evan Rachel Wood. The film’s performance has earned Clooney a nomination for the Golden Lion at the Venedik Film Festival, and it will be released in Turkey on November 25th.
