Nell Switzer is back, and so are the demons. In this chilling sequel to The Last Exorcism, Nell is found in the forest after a satanic ritual, covered in mud and terrified. She has no memory of the past few months, only knowing that her family is dead. Moving to a new town, Nell tries to rebuild her life with the help of therapist Frank Merle. She starts dating a young man named Chris and works at a local hotel. But something feels off. The demon that possessed her in the first film is after her again, but this time, it wants something different from Nell.
