The Last King of Scotland 2006
Young newly graduated Dr. Nicholas Garrigan goes to Uganda for adventure and to help the people there. Shortly after arriving in Uganda, he is called to the scene where the country’s leader, Idi Amin Dada, has hit a cow with his Maserati. Garrigan’s calm and successful handling of the situation impresses Amin Dada, who is deeply interested in Scottish culture and history. Amin Dada then invites Garrigan to become his personal doctor. The young doctor, influenced by the charisma of the country’s leader, finds himself at the center of state affairs. Garrigan witnesses the killing and kidnapping orchestrated by Amin Dada. Despite all these events, Amin Dada becomes somewhat of an accomplice to Garrigan.
