The Last Legion 2007
Legendary sword Excalibur’s origins are claimed to come from Julius Caesar’s Six Gauge sword in this film, starting in the year 460 AD in the Roman Empire. Romulus Augustus, the last heir of a weakened empire, is only twelve years old. Barbarian general Odoacer threatens Rome and Emperor Orestes. Worried about his son’s fate, Orestes entrusts him to his mentor. After the city is captured by barbarians, Romulus’s family dies and he is sent to the island of Capri. The Capri Castle was built by Emperor Tiberius and Romulus’s mentor, Ambrosinus, believes that Caesar’s legendary sword will be there. Meanwhile, Aurelius comes to the island to rescue the captive Romulus. They rescue Romulus from the island but when they believe he has fallen under their wing, the only solution is to find the last Roman legion in England and fight again to return to the old days.
