Deokhyeongju 2016
The Last Princess is a film that tells the story of Korean Princess Deok-hye, who was born into a noble family in Korea and lived between 1912-1989. Her sorrowful life was shaped by the Japanese Imperial family and government, as well as Korean collaborators. Two years before the princess’s birth, the Japanese Imperial Army besieged the Gwang-bok-gong Palace with artillery. When her beloved father was poisoned and killed in 1919, the Japanese forced Deokye to leave her family and Korea for education.
